Rosencrantz Comics LinkMeet Jesse Davidge from Rosencrantz Comics at Elfsar on Wednesday April 5th between 5 and 7pm.

Did you enjoy the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen by Alan Moore? (we're talking about the comic... not the embarrassing LXG failure that they call a Movie.) Do you crave to see more smart Comics? Are you willing to try something new, something local... or something different?

Are you not afraid of something that is printed on black and white paper?

Well then... you just may want to check out The Wandering Stars before it hits the international market.

That's right, Elfsar Comics & Toys is pleased to have the company of Jesse Davidge (Artist of Wandering Stars) from Rosencrantz Comics on April 5th, who is not only presenting the release the first comic entitled The Wandering Stars # 1, but is debuting a special preview of issue #2!  Issue #1 was initially only available through Jesse and his brother Jame's (Writer of Wandering Stars) website at rosencrantzcomics.com and is now available at both Elfsar and other comic shops around the Vancouver and Calgary area.

Cover of Wandering Stars #1

Basically, The Wandering Stars are a team of real mathematicians from various points in our history that have embarked on a fantastic fictional adventure.  The journey has cuased them to mysteriously band together to solve problems of a grand and metaphysical scale with their "mathemagic". In their first issue The Wandering Stars must stop a failed artist from mystically stealing the vanishing point away from all of time.  The story combines the historical playfulness of such comics as Asterix or League of Extraordinary Gentlemen with the fascinating yet ever present concepts of "mathematics" and is intended to be enjoyed by all audiences.

The Wandering Stars # 1 was written by James Davidge, drawn by Jesse Davidge and lettered by Derek Mah.  The first issue also includes an abstract essay by Sean Coleman.

The Wandering Stars is published quarterly.  Rosencrantz Comics hopes to be distributing the comic through international markets by the late summer of 2006.

So get a head start and check out this truly original series. On Wednesday April 5th (that's 'Comic Book Day' folks) while you are searching the shelves for something new and different, you have the unique opportunity to meet Jesse the Artist of The Wandering Stars who will be handing out some special surprise posters between 5 and 7pm.

So make sure to pick up your signed copy of the first issue while quantities last. More information can be found at rosencrantzcomics.com and/or by contacting Jesse or James directly at mail@rosencrantzcomics.com.

This signing is brought to you by the store that does a little more than just sell you comics.

See you there!
