Studio EIC, is thrilled to announce that Alexandra
Janicek has won the Epic Ezra Model Search! The contest
was held to find a real life model to portray their most
popular character. The selection of Alexandra coincides
with the release of Ezra vs. 10th
Muse #1, which pits Arcanas ivory skinned mercenary,
Ezra, against Blue Water Productions mythological
beauty, 10th Muse.
Alexandra beat out 29
other models to win the coveted role of Ezra. When she
learned of the results she had this to say, Being Ezra
appeals to me because she seems dangerous, powerful and
sexy. I am quite excited that I won and I look forward
to learning more and being a part of this intriguing
world!
As the winner, Alexandra
Janicek will appear as Ezra on the cover of the upcoming
Ezra vs. 10th Muse comic book. In the comic, the medieval mercenary
targets Medusa, the sworn enemy of the 10th
Muse. However, the 10th
Muse is forced to stop Ezra and save Medusa to prevent
history from unravelling. To celebrate this epic
crossover, Cindy Margolis, the most downloaded model
ever and current 10th Muse model, will join Alexandra on
the cover!
The idea for the crossover
was first conceived, as Sean and Darren Davis began work
on Power of the Valkyrie, a new Arcana series from Blue
Water Productions. They thought the crossover would be a
great way to kick off Valkyrie, as both Ezra and 10th
Muse are extremely popular.
Ezra was created by
OReilly, Canada's most prolific independent comic book
writer. Originally appearing in the first issue of
Arcanas debut title, Kade, Ezra instantly became the
company's most popular character. With a past shrouded in
intrigue and circumstance, Ezra is a rogue mercenary for
hire. When her parents tragically died, she was taken in
by the Order of the Black Sun, where she learned to take
care of herself. Now, this porcelain skinned warrior
searches for adventure. She is strong, swift, and sexy.
The 10th Muse is the story
of modern Greek mythology and a forgotten tenth muse.
Created by Davis, the 10th Muse gained critical acclaim
during its initial run at Image Comics and continues to
get rave reviews now that it is with Alias. In the mold
of strong female characters like La Femme Nikita, 10th
Muse is a real warrior true in her convictions just like
a certain pale skinned Arcana beauty. She is a perfect
opponent for Ezra as the two prepare for what is sure to
be an epic battle.
Battle lines
will be drawn as Ezra vs. 10th
Muse #1 hits a comic shop near you
