Elfsar hosted the best Free Comic Book Day ever!

A very big thank you to all who joined us and helped raise food & money for the Vancouver Food Bank.   We could not have done this without you.  We actually did 3 times better in the amount of donations than last year ($1,400.00 and 25 full boxes of food)!  Not too shabby for only an 8 hour event.  Plus we managed to give out just over 10,000 comics for FREE! 

I think it is safe to say that Elfsar is a lot more than just an average retail comic and toy store. We are a group of passionate people who understand that giving back to our community is equally important as to making sales.  Simply, we exist because of you and I am proud of all our customers who made the effort to join us on our international geek holiday.  Thank you for understanding that every little bit helps.  You certainly made a difference in the lives of those less fortunate.  The below picture is a reminder that everyone chipped in and made a small but heartfelt difference for those in need.

Everyone who donated to the charity on FCBD got to take some pictures with our featured costumed heroes and villains.  Below is the work form two of Vancouver's most talented photographers who donated their time to produce some stunning work.  Make sure to check out their websites :)  They are VERY large files that you can download to your home computer.  So find yourself, copy, save and enjoy!

The attention to detail is remarkable, and great effort was taken to ensure that the Iron Man action figure mirrors the action hero in the movie.
